As such, we worked with BTL in Auckland to create this Collect & Win campaign which features a letter on each bottle of Scrumpy. It’s simple – collect the letters, spell out the 4-letter word and win that cash prize – $20, $40, $50 or $100! (no real swear-words included)!
Did You Know…?
A Collect & Win mechanic can create massive headline cash prizes without costing a fortune. Similar to the old-style McDonalds Monopoly promotions (where you collected street groups to win big prizes), this mechanic relies on ‘control letters’ to manage the prizes available whilst delivering a huge cash prizepool available (in this example, a whopping $500,000).
Hints & Tips
Even though the behind-the-scenes calculations and permutations for a Collect & Win campaign are fairly complex, it is critical to keep the mechanic simple and the theming on brand. By using the double entendre of ‘4-Letter Words’, the team at BTL have done a great job in creating a fun and perfectly targeted platform.
